The AI Club is for high school students interested in exploring the fast-growing field of Artificial Intelligence through hands-on projects, discussions, and competitions. We’ll dive into topics like deep learning, computer vision, audio recognition, and NLP while working on real-world challenges in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment. The club will meet once a week after school and is open to anyone curious about how AI works or excited to create something new. Our goal is to spark creativity, innovation, and problem-solving while helping students build both technical skills and teamwork. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take on advanced challenges, there’s a place for you in the AI Club.

Listening to music stimulates our brains and reduces stress. The goal of American Music Club is to give students a forum in which they can broaden their musical knowledge and meet others who are inpired by music. AMC provides students and NAHS staff members a judgment free zone to share the music they love. Meetings consist of sharing songs, bands and genres, and providing insight that explains why the songs, bands, and genres shared are important and/or inspirational. Knowing how to play an instrument is not required, however, this is also a space for students' who play intruments and sing to meet, compare work, create new bands, and discuss venues. The American Music Club also promotes, organizes, and runs the live music scene at New Albany High School events such as Fall Fest, Spring Jam, and Peace Day. Meetings are held in room G102.

The New Albany Animal Welfare Awareness Club is aiming to partner with various organizations in the Columbus area to help support, promote, and advocate for animal awareness. Some of these organizations we are hoping to work with are, included but not limited to; the Ohio Animal Welfare Awareness Federation. This club meets approximately 2-3 times per month to plan activities after school in person with occasional online meetings via Google Meet. Members are expected to help and get involved in various volunteering opportunities throughout the year such as; fundraisers, making posters and any other ways we can help our community. This year, we will aim to start our first year off strong by providing information and opportunities to volunteer for drives and fundraisers for animals in need.

In Books 4 Bright Futures, our goal is to collect and deliver children's books to underprivileged school libraries in Sri Lanka. Students attending these schools are working to learn the English language in order to expand their opportunities after graduation. Many libraries do not have these books, and we want to work to provide them. We will reach out to the community for donations as well as look for other sponsors to help us cover the cost of this mission and ultimately help us partner with as many libraries as possible. In being a part of this club, as far as time commitment goes, contribution simple means collecting books from across our community to exchange for service hours and credit.

Students are able to explore the field of broadcasting whether it is in everyday news, sports, or entertainment. Students will work on producing weekly news updates on events going on around New Albany Plain Local Schools and this will be aired every Friday during NEST. Students will have the opportunity to explore the sports side of broadcasting with live game coverages, athlete interviews, and more which can be shared to social media (with student and parent permission). Equipment needed will include: microphones for broadcasts, cameras to record broadcasts, and possibly a green screen or plain background. Students will be able to learn to edit videos, work behind the scenes of broadcasts, and report on topics they are interested in. Students will have the freedom to choose a topic to report on. This club gives students the opportunity to connect with their peers and explore a future career.

Career Talks is a space where we invite individuals from a variety of career backgrounds to share their personal experiences and professional journeys. These meetings provide students with the opportunity to explore different fields, engage in meaningful conversations, and gain valuable insights. By hearing firsthand from professionals, students can deepen their understanding of various industries and determine whether a particular path aligns with their interests and goals. These meetings will be held once every month or so.

Chess Club is devoted to playing and teaching chess from beginner to advanced levels. We have plenty of chess boards and often play online, so devices are encouraged. Our goal is to enjoy playing chess and increase our strategies to win games.

Our goal is to engage students with educational activities that give students the opportunity to explore aspects of Chinese culture that they may not have previously been exposed to. Both American and Chinese students are welcome to attend, as we wish to build relationships between students and foster community on campus.

What is the City Care Club? Each month the board will choose a cause and that month we will collect items that go to the cause. Additionally, we will teach members of the club a lesson to go with it and deliver items we collected that month to a local non-profit. For example, in December, we will collect toys, spread awareness of different religious holidays, and then have a fun meeting where we wrap gifts for kids in need. Meetings will be after school 2-3 times a month in Mrs. Stalls classroom J102 and there are no fees.

The showcase features poetry, singing, dancing, a fashion show, fine arts, and sometimes even food! A group for gamers interested in either playing friendlies or competitive against schools across Ohio. It is OHSAA approved and is an official Club Sport. We meet different days of the week depending on the game. Friendlies are welcome most days if discussed ahead of time with advisor. You must bring your gaming device to play unless it is one of the approved and installed games on our 5 gaming PCs. For competitive we meet from mid October into February and there is a fee to play competitive.

Filmmaking club is a collaborative group where members create movies through the entire film production process—from scripting and directing to filming, editing, acting, and sound design. A student leadership and student run organization for FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition Team #5667- The Digital Eagles. Students are empowered to design, fabricate, program, and compete with a full sized autonomous robot against other High Schools from around the world. Students learn and use technical skills in STEM as well as Business and Graphic Design. It's more than just robots- students learn business marketing, outreach, branding, fundraising, team building, and time management while creating a 125lb competitive robot.

This club is meant to replicate the global leadership summit program that the organization of EF provides students across the nation. In this club, groups of students will be faced with different topics each month, and are expected to brainstorm together ways to solve global conflicts. At the end of each month, each group will present their idea with an accompanying prototype(s) to the entire club. By the end of the club experience, students will have discovered a new way of thinking, perfected teamwork skills, and be more aware of conflicts happening in the world. This club also opens a lot of opportunity for senior project/ senior seminar ideas which any garde level can benefit from!

Handmade Hope Club is a group dedicated to making handmade items for donations to various organizations in Columbus. In this group, we have a passion for creativity, service, and helping the community where we create items and crafts to help those in need. We work on a variety of projects throughout the year that range from smaller, short term projects to longer projects. The projects we do offer students the opportunity to learn new skills. However, all skill levels are welcome in our club no matter your experience with crafting.

Heads Up Mentors is a club which provides free mentoring to kids K-8 in core subjects, as well as standardized test help (ACT, SAT, PSAT) to high schoolers. As a member, you will be expected to mentor a student at least one day a week for about 6 consecutive weeks. Members will receive service hours for mentoring! The goal of this club is to provide opportunities to students who struggle with motivation for their academics.

Hindu Student Association (HSA) is a student led club that will help students who are interested in learning about the culture and traditions of hinduism to understand it more. All are welcome.  We will talk about different aspects of being Hindu as well as doing fun crafts/activities and playing games.  We meet 1x-2x a month on Mondays after school 2:15-3:00. meetings are held in Mrs. Yurich’s room (G204).  You will make new friends and learn new knowledge in a fun and creative environment.

Muslim Students' Association (MSA-NAHS) is a student-led initiative where students from all backgrounds can gather to explore Islam and the various cultures and traditions spanning the Muslim world. This club offers a relaxed and informal setting for students to engage in enlightening discussions, exchange personal anecdotes, and foster mutual understanding, promoting a unique environment for such topics.

MSA-NAHS is dedicated to promoting peace, unity, and diversity on our campus and facilitating a better environment for students through service and activism.

To achieve this end, the club shall:
- Encourage cohesion and collaborative efforts among Muslims and individuals from various faith backgrounds.
- Organize social, cultural, religious, and other events that reflect the best traditions of Islam.
- Host bi-weekly (2 times a month) club meetings in K209.

In New Albany High School’s Mock Trial, students work together to participate in a simulated courtroom experience. Students act as attorneys, witnesses, and other courtroom roles to present a hypothetical legal case in district, regional, and state competitions. Teamwork is built through the joint effort of building arguments, drafting statements, and rehearsing presentations in preparation for these competitions. Mock Trial also provides community outreach in New Albany to extend the skills built in our program.

Model United Nations (MUN) is a club where students take on the roles of diplomats and represent countries in discussions about global issues. Members build skills in public speaking, negotiation, and problem-solving while working together to draft solutions in a United Nations–style setting. The club meets bi-weekly to run mini-simulations on current world topics using official Model UN procedures and prepare for conferences with delegations from schools around Ohio. No prior experience is required, and all students interested in global affairs, debate, or leadership are welcome. Meetings will be held in the Jefferson Room and the Mini-Theater.

The Red Cross Club is affiliated with Red Cross of America. The club meets via Google Meet approximately once per month to plan activities. Activities include multiple volunteer opportunities. Most years this involves a toy drive and assisting with a winter clothes drive. Our two major events we plan for are our blood drives. We host a blood drive in the fall and in the spring in the HS Cafeteria. Some years we also provide a scholarship to a Blood Club student based upon the success of our two blood drives.

The International Thespian Society (ITS) is an organization that recognizes, rewards, and encourages student achievement and celebrates the work of students in all aspects of theatre - performance and production. Our ITS troupe holds many events throughout the school year, including outings, service hour opportunities, and performances. Students are inducted into ITS and our troupe at our annual Thespian Banquet. Each student is honored on a national level and gains access to resources and opportunities beyond NAHS. The NAHS Wrongful Conviction club is focused on raising awareness for the many wrongful convictions that occur within the United States. We will learn about various causes that lead to wrongful conviction, promote awareness through our school, and raise money to help individuals who have been wrongfully convicted.
