Earn 21 Credits:
- English Language Arts - 4 credits
- Mathematics - 4 credits
- Science - 3 credits
- Social Studies - 4 credits
- Health - 0.5 credit
- Physical Education - 0.5 credit
- Fine Arts - 1 credit
- Financial Literacy-0.5 credit (or through taking AP Microeconomics)
- Electives - 2.5 credits
- Senior Seminar - 1 credit
Complete Service Learning requirement - 25 hours
Show Competency
Students have the following options to earn Competency:
Earn a scale score of 684 on the Algebra I and English language arts II end-of-course Ohio State Tests (OSTs). Students who do not meet competency on the tests will be offered additional support and must retake the tests at least once. If students do not meet competency after a retake, they must meet one of the alternative options below:
- Option 1 College Credit Plus Complete College Coursework: Earn credit for one college-level math and/or college-level English course through Ohio’s free College Credit Plus program.
- Option 2 ACT/SAT: Earn a remediation-free score in the Math or English subject areas on the ACT or SAT. To demonstrate competency in English II, a student must be remediation-free in the subjects of English and reading on the ACT or SAT.
- Option 3 Career Experience and Technical Skill: Students must complete two of the options from the list of seven below, at least one of which must be a foundational option.
- Foundational
- Proficient scores on 3 or more WebXams in a single career pathway.
- Earn an approved 12-point industry credential or group of credentials totaling 12 points in a single career field.
- Complete a pre-apprenticeship program or acceptance into an approved apprenticeship program after high school (for students 18 or higher).
- Obtain a state-issued license for practice in a vocation that requires an examination.
- Supporting
- Complete a 250-hour work-based learning experience with evidence of positive evaluations;
- Earn the National Career Readiness Silver Level on WorkKeys; or
- Earn the OhioMeansJobs Readiness Seal.
- Foundational
- Option 4 Military Enlistment: Provide evidence that you have signed a contract to enter a branch of the U.S. armed services upon graduation.

These seals give you the chance to demonstrate academic, technical and professional skills and knowledge that align to your passions, interests and planned next steps after high school. OHIO MEANS JOBS SEAL
The OhioMeansJob Readiness Seal can be earned by demonstrating proficiency in each of 15 identified professional skills. Students work with a mentor on these skills across a minimum of two of the three environments of school, work, or in the community. Completion will be tracked in Schoolinks

College-Ready Seal (Ohio)

COLLEGE READY SEAL -exam-based
College Ready Seal can be earned in one of two ways
1. Earning a remediation-free score on the SAT* (480 Reading/Writing, 530 Math)
2. Earning a remediation-free score on the ACT. (18 Eng, 22 Read, 22 Math)
*All students take the SAT as a Junior at New Albany High School
Military Enlistment Seal (Ohio)
Citizenship Seal (Ohio)

CITIZENSHIP SEAL -exam or course/grade based or a combination of exam scores and/or Grades:
The Citizenship Seal can be earned in multiple ways:
1. Earning a score of proficient on the end of course exams in both American History & US Govt
2. Earning a score of proficient (3 or higher) on an AP Social Studies exam (AP US History, AP Government)
3. Earning a “B” or higher in an appropriate College Credit Plus course ( examples: American History CSCC, Quest for Justice KC) or both American History & US Government.
Science Seal (Ohio)

SCIENCE SEAL exam or course/grade based
The Science Seal can be earned in multiple ways:
1. Earn a score of proficient or higher on the Ohio State Test in Biology;
2. Earn a score of 2 or higher on an Advanced Placement Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Science test;
3. Earn a “B” or higher in a College Credit Plus science course; or
4. Earn a “B” or higher in an advanced science course (examples: Chemistry, Ecology, Physics, etc.)
Honors Diploma Seal (Ohio)

HONORS DIPLOMA SEAL
The Honors Diploma seal can be earned by fulfilling the requirements of one of six honors diplomas defined by the state. These diplomas include:
1. Academic Honors Diploma;
2. Career-Tech Honors Diploma;
3. International Baccalaureate Honors Diploma;
4. STEM Honors Diploma;
5. Arts Honors Diploma; or the
6. Civics and Social Sciences Honors Diploma.
Seal of Biliteracy

SEAL OF BILITERACY
New Albany High School is pleased to offer our senior students the opportunity to earn the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy. This program recognizes students who have achieved a high level of proficiency in English and another foreign language. In addition to the Seal of Biliteracy’s link to graduation requirements, earning this prestigious honor will demonstrate a student’s commitment to bilingualism, potentially gaining more opportunities for employment and bringing a greater understanding of other world cultures. New Albany High School seniors will have the opportunity to earn the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy by demonstrating proficiency in English and in a foreign language through the guidelines established by the Ohio Department of Education. The assessment will be offered twice this school year, once in October as well as once in the spring.

Technology Seal (Ohio)

TECHNOLOGY SEAL
The Technology seal can be earned in three ways
1. Earning a score of proficient in Advanced Placement Computer Science
2. Earning a “B” or higher in an appropriate College Credit Plus technology course
3. Earning a 1.0 technology credit for a full year course or by combining 2 semester technology courses listed on pages 18-25.
Community Service Seal (Local)

COMMUNITY SERVICE SEAL
Community Service seal can be earned by completing sixty (60) hours of community service, which includes 25 hours already required for graduation.
1. Community Service Hours must be completed with an approved charitable/non-profit organization;
2. Must be pre-approved by the district community service liaison. The proposal will be submitted through Schoolinks;
3. Upon completion of the hours, students are required to submit a written reflection that includes a list of tasks and how the hours benefited the student and the community
4. All completed hours are submitted and verified through our online system, Schoolinks.
Fine and Performing Arts Seal (Local)

FINE & PERFORMING ARTS SEAL
The Fine and Performing Arts seal can be earned by:
1. Completing two credits of any visual or performing arts course; or
2. Students may substitute one (1) course credit with completing a full season of an extracurricular program associated with the New Albany visual or performing arts departments.
Student Engagement Seal (Local)

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT SEAL
The Student Engagement seal can be earned by completing at least two of the following:
1. Completion of one (district-approved) sports season (repeatable);
2. Completion of one (district-approved) performance or production (repeatable); and/or
3. Completion of 30 hours of participation in a (district-sponsored or school-recognized) club
4. All Students must log their participation hours in Schoolinks for submission and approval of the program advisor or coach for verification.
